Many a times you may not wish to have a call from a particular person who seem to be quite disturbing or annoying. So here is what you can do to block a call.
- On the Start screen, tap the “Phone” tile
- The access the “History” tab
- Now tap “Menu” > “Blocked Calls”
- Again tap “Menu” > “Block list”
- Now to add that call tap “+”
- Enter the phone number you want to block and tap “Block” to confirm
If you wish to unblock calls
Similarly if you wish to now unblock a call then also follow these simple steps
- First tap “Phone” on the Start screen
- Now go to “History” and tap “Menu”
- Then tap “Blocked calls” > “Menu”
- Now tap “Blocked list”
- Go to tap and hold the contact / phone number you want to unblock
- Now tap “Unblock number”
If you wish to turn on call forwarding
Suppose you are in a meeting or want to take a call on another phone when your one phone is busy then you can use the option to turn on call forwarding
- First tap “Phone” on the Start screen
- Then tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Go to “Change more settings for phone”
- Now press the “Call forwarding” switch to “ON”
- Then tap “Forward calls to” and select a contact, or enter the phone number you want to forward incoming calls to
If you wish to disable call forwarding

- First open “Phone”
- Then tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Now tap “Change more settings for phone”
- Then press the “Call forwarding” switch to turn off the option

- On the Start screen, tap “Phone”
- Then go to the “Speed dial” tab
- Now tap “+” and select the contact you want to add to speed dialing
- Access the “Speed dial” tab to view your favorite contacts / phone numbers
- If you to remove a contact from speed dial / favorites, first access the “Speed dial” tab
- Next, tap and hold the contact / phone number you want to remove
- Then tap “Delete” to confirm
If you wish to turn on and manage conference calling
You can perform the following steps to start and manage a conference call while in an ongoing phone call.
- First tap “+ Add call” while in an ongoing phone call
- Now select a contact, or enter the phone number you want to add to the conference call
- After the second call connects, tap “merge calls”
- Now to separate calls, tap “Private” and select one of the callers
- You can switch between callers, for this tap the “tap to swap” bar
- If you wish to disconnect from a caller, put the caller on-hold and tap “End call”
- Finally to end a conference call, go to the “Conference” screen and tap “End call”
